Story route at a glance

This Walkthrough Hub orders the main path of The Forbidden Tomes of Olipos without burying you in system theory. Use it when you want the next objective, the next NPC, or the next dungeon door. For mechanics, jump back to the Guides Hub; for medal and ending checklists, use the Tools Hub.

Romina begins as a librarian whose magic was stolen by the daemons Olipos and Zahal. Her recovery arc runs through the mountain village Fulah, the Forbidden Seal Cave, Ripool Harbor, Dorna Ruins, and finally the Sealed Isle. The campaign is short—about four to six hours for a focused clear—but bosses punish thin preparation.

Critical path (spoiler-aware outline)

  1. In Fulah, talk to merchant Mottl south of the village.
  2. Head northeast to the Forbidden Seal Cave (禁書の封印洞).
  3. Defeat Morphin, the false tome, read the notes, report to the village chief, then return to Mottl.
  4. Travel southwest to Ripool Harbor (リプール港); clear the inn basement event.
  5. Speak with Cattleya in the tavern, return home, then go northeast to Dorna Ruins (ドルナ遺跡).
  6. Move crystal objects to enable teleporters and defeat Permidora.
  7. Talk to Cattleya again, ask Mottl about the island, then take the ferry from Ripool to the Sealed Isle (封じの孤島).
  8. Defeat Zahal and Olipos, then check the catalog at home for your ending.

How to use each page

Open Story Overview once for the big picture and character motives. Use area pages when you are physically in that region. Each area page links sideways to its neighbors and upward to map articles like Fulah, Ripool & Island, and Dungeons.

Before Morphin, skim Boss Fights and make sure silence options exist in your kit. Before Dorna’s crystal puzzles, keep Key Items and inventory space clean. Before the ferry, finish medal shopping if you care about trades—Shining Medals and the Medal Tracker help.

After the final bosses, you can enter New Game Plus with carryover or return before the ending resolves. The recollection room opens via a book at home. Roughly five endings exist; track them with the Ending Checklist and the Endings walkthrough page.

Quality-of-life on the route

Cleared dungeon enemies become touch-to-defeat later, so thorough early clearing pays you back when you revisit. Bunny-costume NPC hints (Larafina style) and the glasses toggle are worth learning from Controls so you do not miss environmental tells. Fulah remains the soft reset point for shopping and story flags throughout.

If a fight feels unfair, it is usually a gear or silence gap rather than a soft lock. Check Combat & Magic and Crafting Builds before grinding randomly. The game is hard but fair when your books and accessories match the boss pattern.

Keep this hub pinned while you play. Move linearly through the area pages, dip into guides only when combat or crafting stalls you, and finish with Endings plus New Game Plus planning so your catalog choice matches the run you want to keep.
